Championship History
Below is a list of championships, which Trish Stratus has won during her wrestling career.

WWF Women's Championship
After Chyna’s sudden departure in the spring of 2001 the Women’s Championship was once again retired to the dusty vaults at Titan Towers. Thankfully management decided to return the championship to the hard working women of the WWE. Trish Stratus competed in a Six Pack Challenge at the 2001 Survivor Series PPV, which took place on November 18, 2001 in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. The other women in the match were a debuting Jazz, Mighty Molly, Ivory, Jacqueline, and Lita.

Trish would go onto defend the championship against the likes of Ivory, Jacqueline, Molly, and Jazz over the next few months. Sadly she lost the belt to arch rival Jazz on February 4, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

WWE Hardcore Championship
By 2002 the WWE Hardcore Championship was finally showing signs of slowing down after being won by nearly every male star on the roster. Only a few women had the opportunity at holding Mick Foley’s original gift from Mr McMahon. On May 6, 2002 in Hartford, Connecticut, USA Trish captured the title from the late Crash Holly. Her reign was quickly ended during the same show as ECW’s Steven Richards stole it from her. A quick fact for out BeyondTheDiva.com readers… did you know that Trish was close to signing with ECW back in 1998? Raven was set the task of showing her pictures to management but failed to do so, the rest is history.

WWE Women's Championship – Reign #2
Trish Stratus is without a shadow of a doubt Canada’s most famous Diva and it was only fitting that she’d win back her prized Women’s Championship in her hometown of Toronto on May 13, 2002. Trish captured the belt from Jazz in a hot wrestling match that had fans talking for days.

By 2002 the WWE had split their roster into two separate brand, RAW & SmackDown, and Molly was finally getting a push that many felt she truly deserved. Molly Holly had transformed into a tough talking, no-nonsense old lady in storylines. She would eventually defeat Trish for the championship at the company’s final King of the Ring PPV. The event took place on June 23, 2002 in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

WWE Women's Championship – Reign #3
The date was September 22, 2002 and the location was Los Angeles, California. This was the place that would see an emotional Trish Stratus become a 3-time Women’s Champion. Trish won back her championship from Molly at the Unforgiven PPV, and gave an emotional post-match interview.

Trish’s wrestling ability was excellent by the fall of 2002 and the long awaited arrival of Victoria only helped her learn the art of professional wrestling. Fans got to see the psychotic Victoria debut in storylines as an ex-friend of Trish’s, whom had a bitter grudge to settle. Victoria & Trish had a great match at the No Mercy 2002 PPV, which earned them a rematch at the Survivor Series PPV the following month. It was in New York City that Trish competed in a brutal Hardcore Match against Victoria and it truly was one of the more brutal matches at the Survivor Series. Victoria did in fact capture the title from Trish during the PPV on November 17, 2002.

WWE Women's Championship – Reign #4
The Canadian Diva made her debut at WrestleMania 2000 whilst managing T&A, she’d later slap the taste out of Mr McMahon’s mouth at WrestleMania 17. Trish finally got the chance to wrestle at a WrestleMania in 2002 during Toronto’s WrestleMania 18. Sadly the beauty would have to wait until March 30, 2003 in Seattle, Washington before she could officially win a match at a WrestleMania event. Trish wrestled Jazz & Victoria during the 19th annual PPV and gave fans an amazing performance.

Stratus would later go onto defend the championship against Jazz at the 2003 Backlash PPV, and she lost it. April 27, 2003 in Worcester, Massachusetts will always go down in wrestling history as a sad day for Stratusfaction fans worldwide.

WWE Women's Championship – Reign 5
Trish Stratus has never been somebody that would walk away from a good fight and on June 13, 2004 in Columbus, Ohio, fans got to see her become a 5-time Women’s Champion. BeyondTheDiva.com would like to quickly rewind back to WrestleMania 20, which took place earlier in the year. During the 20th annual PPV fans got to see the more vindictive side to Trish as she turned heel and sided with Christian. Together the pair would form a tight relationship and Stratusfaction fans rejoiced as a fresh character emerged from Trish Stratus herself. We now return to June 2004 as that’s when Trish becomes the Women’s Champion once again at the Bad Blood PPV.

The bullying Women’s Champion would then go onto taunt her fellow competitors, annihilate them, and generally defeat them. In the Summer of 2004 the RAW Diva Search hit our televisions but Trish wanted to give the eventual winner a warm welcome into the WWE family. She’d strip down Christy Hemme for the whole world to see, which kicked off their eventual championship feud. By the fall of 2004 the Lita vs. Trish feud was once again on and by on we mean ON. Trish had bullied an injured Lita throughout 2004, she even crashed Lita’s black wedding. By December 2004 Lita was finally able to wrestle and a match was made between herself and Trish.

History was once again made on December 6, 2004 in Charlotte, North Carolina as that’s the show in which fans got to see only the second women-only main event on an episode of RAW. Ironically it was once again Lita’s time to shine and she won the championship from Trish.

WWE Women's Championship – Reign #6
New Years Revolution was a brand new PPV and it was staged in San Juan, PR on January 9, 2005. This PPV was pretty emotional for all women of wrestling fans as Lita suffered a nasty injury during her match with Trish Stratus. Nobody should be allowed to say a bad word about Lita as she managed to continue the match whilst in grave pain. Trish would capture back her championship match during the PPV, and made another new record of six reigns.

Fans would then get to see the mother of all modern-day championship reigns as Trish had what would be now known as her final run with the belt. It all started on January 9, 2005 and would continue right until April 2, 2006 at WrestleMania 22 in Chicago Illinois. Trish had several defences over the year against the likes of Christy Hemme, Victoria, Candice Michelle, Torrie Wilson, Ashley Massaro etc. It was her amazing rivalry with Mickie James that saw her eventual downfall as Women’s Champion.

WWE Women's Championship – The Final Reign
During the summer of 2006 it was shockingly reported that Trish Stratus planned to leave World Wrestling Entertainment in the fall. Fans later learned that this earth-shattering news was infact true, and Trish herself confirmed it on LIVE television. Trish would enjoy her final feud with the person she originally feuded with. Lita & Trish exchanged bitter words, and also blows, in the run-up to Unforgiven 2006. Trish Stratus won a #1 Contendership match against Victoria on an episode of RAW and soon challenged for Lita’s prized Women’s Championship, which she won from Mickie earlier in the hot summer. Trish declared that she wanted to finally silence her arch rival of many years alongside win the Women’s Championship for a record 7th time before retiring. Many fans dreamed of the picture-perfect ending to an amazing career but many expected Trish to lose her final match.

Unforgiven 2006 soon came to ahead in Trish’s hometown of Toronto, Canada. Trish not only had an amazingly emotional final encounter with Lita, but she also won the championship. Trish applied Bret Hart’s trademark Sharpshooter submission hold to a thunderous applause from the LIVE crowd, and later forced Lita into submission. Trish not only got her fairytale ending but retired as a 7-time Women’s Champion.
